This role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical system breakdowns, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading PLC-related tasks. Candidates should have an engineering qualification, strong PLC knowledge, and be proactive in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Identify, diagnose and rectify breakdowns in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure operational efficiency and compliance standards of plant and equipment.
- Lead on instrumentation and PLC-related tasks across the site.

- Expert mechanical and electrical system knowledge with the ability to identify, diagnose and rectify breakdowns
- Ensure plant and equipment performance meets operational efficiency and compliance standards
- Deliver and improve planned preventative maintenance across the site whilst maintaining CMMS records
- Lead on instrumentation, process controls and PLC‑related tasks (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production
- Provide training and support to new and existing team members
- Apprentice trained or equivalent engineering qualification
- Strong PLC knowledge (diagnosing & programming)
- Be prepared to assist other sites with PLC systems or small automation projects (remote or on‑site)
- Experience delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills
Commutable from parts of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire
