Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations.

We are seeking an Senior Electronics Engineer to work with our client, onsite (4 days minimum onsite) at Barnstaple. The successful candidate should ideally have experience working in the marine defence sector.

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with military, aerospace or oil & gas experience.

The Senior Electronics Engineer will perform, but is not limited to the following type of activities:

• Lead the electrical and electronic engineering efforts for various electro-mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to agreed cost, time, and quality standards.
• Participate in and support reviews and approvals of electrical and electronic designs in accordance with business and industry standards.
• Contribute to company standards by producing calculations, CAD models, manufacturing drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
• Provide ongoing support for SEA products through manufacturing, assembly, installation, and service life.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline. A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu

• Problem solving across a wide range of technologies / products
• Communication, influencing, negotiating
• Adaptation / ability to work to specific company process

• Knowledge of eCAD design tools for schematic capture
• Ability to use simulation tools like SPICE
• Good understanding of design for EMC

• 10 years post graduate relevant work experience
• Defence, Aerospace or Oil and Gas work experience would suit this role.
• Able to work across the full Engineering Development Lifecycle

• BPSS cleared
• SC cleared
• Willingness to work minimum 4 days per week at the client site in Barnstaple
