A leading engineering recruitment agency is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Automation/PLC) to join a team in Cheltenham, England. The role includes the installation and commissioning of machinery, providing breakdown support, and may involve travel within the UK, Ireland, and North America. Candidates should have experience in automation machinery and PLC programming, and hold a valid UK driving license. The position offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000, plus benefits including a company vehicle and training.
Maintenance Engineer (Automation/PLC) – Cheltenham, Gloucestershire – Salary 45,000‑55,000 plus bonus, company vehicle, training, overtime.
A senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) responsible for electrical installation, machinery commissioning, post‑purchase servicing, and breakdown support both in‑house and on customers’ sites. Work local 30 % and travel the UK, Ireland and North America 70 %.
Company vehicle, training, overtime, progression to senior engineer roles, generous allowances and hotel accommodation for travel.
Industrial / Automation / Control system / Conveyor background; Machinery / Automation / Control system experience.
