KEY COMPETENCIES

1. Assists the dentist providing dental treatment
2. Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plans to patients
3. Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles
4. Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
5. Collects and records patient health histories
6. Assists with patient management during dental procedures
7. Completes instrument cleaning & sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
8. Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for the scheduled treatment
9. Completes dental charting
10. Responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties
11. Calls to confirm appointments
12. Escalates issues to Office Manager
13. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
14. X-ray certified
15. CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
16. Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
17. Regular and timely attendance
