A leading healthcare provider in England is seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Team Coordinator for Cancer Services. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in coordinating meetings and managing data to ensure timely investigations, diagnoses, and treatments for patients with suspected cancer. Skills
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Disciplinary Team Coordinator to join Cancer Services at University Hospitals Dorset. MDT Coordinators play a vital role in ensuring patients with suspected cancer are investigated, diagnosed and treated in a timely manner in accordance with National timeframes.
- Coordinate various MDT meetings and prepare/attend meetings to record the outcome of each discussion, enabling tracking of patients through their pathway.
- Manage cancer data collection and maintain an overall view of National Cancer Waiting Time Standards to ensure patients are seen and treated within national targets.
- Prepare and maintain all related documentation for the smooth running of MDT meetings.
- Assist in site-specific data collection processes, Cancer Waiting Times and national cancer data sets and input data on various information systems.
- Liaise with departments involved in providing care and core services to ensure planned patient treatment progresses smoothly and in a timely manner.
- Be flexible to work across all Trust locations to meet service demands.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary team meetings and handling administrative support for cancer pathways is desirable (as per the role description).
- Ability to contribute to data collection processes and input into national cancer data sets and information systems.
- Understanding of cancer waiting times and national targets is advantageous.
- Advert may close early if sufficient applications are received.

- Travel/mileage: excess mileage will not be reimbursed; travel from home to new work base will be classed as a normal commute; any other changes managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
