The Team
Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG), part of KPMG Deal Advisory in the UK, comprises approximately 400 professionals and is recognized as a leading independent adviser in infrastructure, finance, and regulation. The group has received multiple awards, including Financial Advisor of the Year (Infrastructure Journal) for several years.
We provide comprehensive advice on strategic, financial, regulatory, and commercial issues affecting infrastructure investments across Transport, Power & Utilities, and Social Infrastructure in the UK and Europe. Our services include market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring, and transaction execution, alongside strategic advice to facilitate private and public capital funding. We collaborate with other KPMG functions to advise on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and valuations.
Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr. Matt Firla-Cuchra, is the largest business area within IAG, with about 85 FTEs. It serves major clients including all UK utilities and leading energy and water companies across Europe. Our expertise spans strategy, market analysis, regulation, cost assessment, corporate finance, and transactions, helping clients structure investments, secure financing, and navigate regulatory regimes to maximize shareholder value. We are recognized as market leaders influencing the future of the utilities sector.
Our P&U division is organized into six practices: Water Regulation, Energy Regulation, Finance, Projects, Transactions & Energy Transition, and Cost Benchmarking. It has experienced double-digit growth over the past decade. We are seeking high-caliber candidates to support our growth and expand our service offerings.
The Role
You will join the Transactions & Energy Transition sub-team within P&U. The team has demonstrated strong growth, exceeding recent budgets. Currently comprising 10 FTEs, it aims to double its revenue and size within three years.
