Job summary
An educational institution in Kirkwall is seeking a Relief SVQ Assessor for Construction and Brickwork. The role requires strong independence and communication skills to assess candidates at their workplaces. Applicants must hold relevant qualifications, including HNC/SVQ3 and Assessor Award A1, and be willing to travel. This position offers £18.81 per hour and is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check. Qualifications

- Knowledge of the SVQ in Brickwork and Stonework is essential.
- Assessor Award A1 or willingness to attain it.
Responsibilities

- Visit candidates to undertake workplace assessments.
- Liaise with employers and meet operational requirements.

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£18.81 per hour (including Distant Island Allowance)
- The post requires the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and a good communicator.
- The role will involve visiting candidates in their place of work to undertake workplace assessment, maintain accurate records and liaise with employers. You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
- Applicants must hold an HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification in the relevant curriculum area. Knowledge of the SVQ in Brickwork and Stonework is essential.
- Applicants must also hold an Assessor Award A1 or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this.
This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
