Junior Accounts Assistant
Job summary
A well-established Essex based construction company is seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their Finance and Admin team. The ideal candidate will have some accounts experience, preferably in the construction industry, along with general IT skills and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include managing purchase and sub-contractor ledgers, processing payroll, and raising sales ledger invoices. Competitive salary range is £23,000 to £25,000 per annum with additional benefits like annual leave and pension scheme.

Junior Accounts Assistant
We are a long-established Essex based construction company, who carry out a broad spectrum of works from specialised restoration works to churches and listed buildings, to mainstream construction and insurance repairs.
We are now seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance and Admin team.
You will need to have some accounts experience with construction industry experience also an advantage. General IT skills, attention to detail and an interest in pursuing an accounts career.
- Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices and cheque/BACS runs.
- Sub-Contractor Ledger including processing invoices, cheque runs and CIS statements.
- Reconciling statements.
- Assist with Weekly Payroll processing.
- Raising Sales Ledger invoices.
- Dealing with all queries relating to ledgers and payroll.
- Other ad hoc accounting and administration tasks.
