A prestigious heritage organization in Petworth is seeking a passionate food professional to join their team. You will prepare exceptional dishes using seasonal ingredients, ensure top-notch customer service, and work closely with your colleagues to uphold the highest standards in food hygiene. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Change is taking place at Petworth House and Park and the team are looking for innovative people to join them. The team is currently working to update the property’s visitor offering and highlight its internationally‑renowned collection of pictures and sculpture as well as its Capability Brown designed historic park and pleasure grounds. If you have lots of ideas, energy and ambition, then Petworth House could be the place for you.
With your passion for food and your appetite to provide an exceptional service to your customers, you’ll work with the National Trust Cookbook framework to prepare delicious food. Working with local produce you'll always be looking for ways to minimise waste and control costs and resources. With your attention to detail you’ll ensure each dish is fresh, tasty and beautifully presented every time.
As a key member of our busy Food & Beverage team, you’ll make sure the team is working effectively to deliver great results and may also be required on occasions to supervise volunteers. You’ll help the team ensure our kitchens are presented to the highest standard and are compliant with all relevant legislation around food hygiene and COSHH. The National Trust ethos will always be at the forefront of your mind, and you'll be proud to share our good work with our customers, you’ll look to maximise sales with new ideas so that the profit can be reinvested back into our conservation work.
