Job description

THIS POST IS OPEN TO INTERNAL MEMBERS OF STAFF AT RCHT ONLY.

We work together to create a positive team spirit, recognising achievements and celebrating success. Our busy Anaesthetic Theatres team are at the forefront of intra-operative cell salvage and blood conservation and also have innovative initiatives in place to support climate change.

As a key member of the multi-disciplinary theatre team you will participate in planning, delivering, evaluating and implementing the highest possible level of anaesthetic services, supporting the anaesthetist to deliver outstanding care to patients and contributing to the overall effectiveness of Theatres at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust.

There are full and part time opportunities available, working various shift patterns including weekends, nights and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

We work as part of a multi-disciplinary theatres team to deliver elective and non-elective procedures across a wide range of specialities including ENT, Maxillo Facial, Trauma & Orthopaedic, General, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As well as furthering your clinical practice we offer many development and educational opportunities.

The post holder will be expected to develop skills and specialty based knowledge to support anaesthetic practice in a multi-specialty environment, which may involve procedures performed on both adult and paediatric patients under general, regionaland local anaesthetic.
