Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is looking for experienced CNC Turners to join a client in Greater London on a permanent basis. Ideal candidates should have demonstrable experience operating CNC lathes with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls. Successful applicants will work flexible shifts and may also be involved in training apprentices. This position offers an opportunity to expand skills in a growing company with increasing workload and productivity expectations.
Qualifications
- Time-served with demonstrable experience operating a CNC Lathe.
- Experience using Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls.
- Capable of running multiple machines and working with various materials.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC lathes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain the machine and keep the working area organized.
- Train and mentor new apprentices and starters.

Due to an increase in workload and continued company growth we are recruiting a number of CNC Turners to join our client on a permanent basis near Shipley.
The company are increasing capacity by expanding their day shift.
Successful candidates will ideally be time served to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specification.
Candidates will be required to set and operate CNC Lathes (including sliding head lathes) utilising Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls therefore experience with this is a must.
- Either 40 hours over 5 days or 4 days.
- 44 hours over 4 days.
- 48 hours over 5 days.
Start time and finish flexible within 5:30am / 8:30am start and 4:30pm / 7:30pm finish.
- Setting and operating CNC lathes using proven programs and tooling.
- Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls experience.
- Running multiple machines and working with multiple materials.
- Performing in process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.
- Maintaining the machine on a daily basis including coolant conditioning to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised.
- Training / mentoring of new apprentices and new starters.
- Time-served with demonstrable experience operating a CNC Lathe, working to very tight tolerances.
- Experience using Fanuc / Siemens or Mitsubishi controls to set and operate the machine.
- Will have experience working on a range of materials including Stainless, Aluminium / Titanium.
