About the Role
ESS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Contract Manager to lead cleaning operations at Goodenough College, London. This is a high-profile leadership role, responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, service, and compliance in line with client expectations and Compass Group procedures. We’re looking for a strong operator with proven people management skills, able to deliver consistently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality cleaning services to agreed SLAs and Compass standards
- Lead, motivate, and develop the cleaning team
- Manage labour, equipment, and resources within budget
- Oversee stock levels, consumables, suppliers, and contractors
- Uphold health & safety regulations (including COSHH) and Compass procedures
- Act on client and customer feedback promptly and professionally
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure team compliance with company updates and policies
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in contract or facilities management
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Skilled communicator, both written and verbal
- Confident with budgets, numerical analysis, and IT/digital reporting tools
