A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a Caretaker for schools in Tyseley, UK. The role involves ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school facilities on a temporary basis, with opportunities to transition to permanent positions. Candidates should have some caretaker experience and be able to commit to necessary checks, including a DBS. Working hours will be full-time or part-time during school hours, supporting the school environment.
Qualifications
- Experience as a school caretaker is advantageous.
- Willingness to undergo child workforce DBS check at own cost.
- Ability to work on a temporary basis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure premises are clean, safe, and maintained.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Open and secure school buildings.
- Monitor heating and lighting use.
- Support school events setup.
Are you a Caretaker looking for work in a school environment? It is ADVANTAGEOUS that applicants have some school Caretaker experience and be proficient in ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and maintenance.
You MUST BE willing to work on a TEMPORARY basis and between the hours of 8:00am & 4:30pm. There will be full time and part time positions available throughout the school year and there may also be an opportunity to move to a permanent contract within the school you work at, although this is not guaranteed.
- Ensuring the school premises, grounds and facilities are clean, safe and well-maintained
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and basic DIY tasks
- Open and lock up the school buildings, ensuring security systems are in place
- Monitor heating, lighting and energy use
- Support with setting up rooms and equipment for school events
You will be required to fully register with us including providing right to work documents along with obtaining an enhanced child workforce DBS that will be processed by us but come at a cost of £56 (unless you already have one registered on the update service).
