I am looking for a self-employed support worker to assist me in the community and at home. Must have PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) training.

I am 22 years old, enjoy music, dancing, walking, board games, swimming, cycling, word searches, computer games, and using an iPad. I am learning piano and love road maps. I am working towards returning to a nearby college and enjoy my café job when possible.

I have autism, which makes communication and social interactions challenging. I excel in navigation around Bristol, maths, building complex rail tracks, and striving for independence with one-to-one support. Applicants will receive basic training.

I have used therapies like PBS to develop skills in natural settings. My mum has supported my learning and will provide a handover for activities planned through my diary week.

Responsibilities include: Taking me on fun outings, supporting my daily activities, and helping me develop independence. A clean driving license is desirable. All COVID-19 precautions will be observed.

Requirements: Enthusiastic, caring, willing to learn, experienced in working with young adults and autism, trained in PBS, active (enjoy sports like swimming, tennis, football), patient, reliable, fun, understanding, and able to provide support for daily living skills. A full DBS check is required.

Hours: Up to 20 hours/week, including some weekdays, two evenings, and approximately 4 hours on Saturday, flexible based on availability.

Pay: £15.50 per hour.
