Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager.

• Responsible for monitoring product quality and hygiene standards across the packing center to ensure compliance with customer and company standards, including sampling and swabbing as needed.
• Manage and support the QA team with training and resources, considering risk assessments, quality standards, and health and safety. Ensure team compliance with quality standards.
• Oversee QA team attendance, coverage, and availability.
• Ensure operational processes and production of finished goods are controlled via HACCP to meet food safety and customer standards. Maintain compliance with factory and central systems and implement improvements.
• Lead external audits such as Lion Code, RSPCA, and Organic audits, and stand in for Technical Managers during audits.
• Manage the site document control system to ensure records are current and correctly completed. Update QA documentation and databases.
• Track non-conformances related to product quality, packaging, food safety, hygiene, documentation, traceability, and dress code.
• Assist in closing customer audit non-conformances with root cause analysis within set timescales.
• Plan and ensure timely checks and tests by the QA team.
• Participate in the site HACCP team and deputize in the team leader's absence.
• Investigate customer complaints, retailer non-conformances, and Defra downgrades, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Assist with site traceability and recalls, training relevant personnel.
• Monitor pest management activities and address recommendations promptly.
• Conduct periodic audits to maintain internal audit systems.
• Manage QA team members' personal development and succession planning.
• Promote a quality culture within the site management team.
• Manage sampling for salmonella testing and communicate sampling requirements related to raw materials, poor flocks, and grading procedures.
• Oversee the calibration plan for technical devices used on site.
