Lead Full‑Stack Product Engineer (B2C iOS)

Location: London, Victoria

Hybrid working, 3 days in the office

Salary: Competitive

Zera is an AI personal podcast host that interviews world class experts, generating personalized 2-min podcasts to help people level up faster, anytime. We’re after a high‑agency builder who’s shipped iOS apps end‑to‑end, loves React + TypeScript, and treats growth experiments as core product work.

This isn’t your typical full stack engineer role. The founder is the Managing Director & board member of a multi‑billion‑dollar MENA media company he took public last year; he’s now focused on Zera. You’ll partner with him, our tech lead, and a squad already shipping—ex‑Twitter and McKinsey team members. You’ll also jam with our product advisor, Tinder’s former CPO. Momentum is live; you’ll push the curve steeper.

What you’ll tackle

• Lead the React iOS surface while diving into backend (Node/TypeScript, Python AI pipelines), and growth loops whenever it moves the metric.
• Prototype → Ship → Measure → Kill / Scale in days.
• Craft delightful mobile UX: micro‑animations, offline resilience, p95 performance.
• Jam with design & data—icon placement and retention funnels in the same sitting.
• Treat experiments as code: instrument, A/B, iterate, double‑down or delete.

You’ll thrive here if you…

• Have 3‑8 yrs building & shipping B2C iOS products, ideally at an early‑stage startup.
• Been through a 0→1 startup—even if it failed; battle scars welcome.
• You are scrappy and resourceful, willing to ship fast and iterate quickly.
• You exhibit good judgment and can make on-the-fly decisions about what “good” looks like.
• Think like a product engineer—balance design fidelity, technical trade‑offs, and user value in the same sentence.
• Spin up prototypes fast and delete half your code a week later without ego.
• Know React + TypeScript deeply; comfortable dropping to Swift/Obj‑C when needed.
• Navigate backend/infra enough to unblock yourself (Python, Google Cloud, Airflow).
