A community health organization in Brecon is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to support patients with neurological rehabilitation. The role involves working with therapists in a team environment to enhance patient independence and quality of life. Ideal candidates should possess good communication skills and Level 3 education. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Powys Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant.
We have 2 positions available, one in North and another in South Powys. Please apply to this advert for the South Powys post based in Brecon.
CNRT specialises in therapeutic rehabilitation and management strategies for adults with progressive and non-progressive neurological disability. As a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering a patient-centred rehabilitation service, working closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists as well as other healthcare professionals, in a range of environments including patients homes and clinic settings, both 1:1 and in group work settings.
CNRT operates weekdays only. Weekends and bank holidays worked will be as part of a rota within the wider community therapy team, in hospital and community environments.

Key Responsibilities
? Deliver interventions as delegated by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists, to support patients to achieve their optimum level of independence andquality of life in the most appropriate setting for the individual.? Assist patients to overcome their difficulties, build confidence, and improve or maintain functional ability and independencein everyday tasks under the supervision of a therapist.? Participate in multi-disciplinary teams promoting the role of rehabilitation and taking an active part in team projects.? Support in the organisation and management of a delegated caseload; obtain service data, analyse where appropriate andbring forward ideas for service development.? Participate in the 7-day service rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
About You
? Passionate about patient care and rehabilitation.? Excellent communication and teamwork skills.? Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.? Organised with good time management skills.? Experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is desirable but not essential.
