  • Communicate sensitive clinical, complex, and highly complex diagnostic information to patients with appropriate discretion, empathy and reassurance.
  • Liaise with staff across the Health Board regarding examinations requested, providing information about examinations.
  • Attend Ultrasound User group meetings to discuss relevant Ultrasound issues and provide informal feedback.
Job description

Provide a professionally competent Ultrasound service to patients throughout the University Health Board, in a safe clinical environment.

Provide a caring, confidential diagnostic service to all patients, ensuring their dignity and privacy are not compromised.

Responsibilities
  • Work without direct clinical supervision, reporting to the Superintendent Radiographers within the Department.
  • Communicate sensitive clinical, complex, and highly complex diagnostic information to patients with appropriate discretion, empathy and reassurance (e.g., reporting foetal abnormalities or foetal death).
  • Liaise with staff across the Health Board regarding examinations requested, providing information about examinations and making arrangements to ensure examinations are carried out.
  • Attend Ultrasound User group meetings to discuss relevant Ultrasound issues and provide informal feedback.
