HVAC Electrical Project Engineer

A leading designer and manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment for the HVAC / BMS industry has an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to join them at their offices in Slough.

Location: Slough SL1 6JT

Salary: Circa £55,000 – £65,000 (salary fully negotiable), car allowance, benefits.

As Project Engineer, you should have experience of the Heating Ventilating and Air conditioning controls market within commercial/industrial buildings.

Key Skills Requirements:

• HVAC / PLC Controls with specialty in Trend BMS / PLC systems, familiar with software like SET, TCP/IP, BACNET, Modbus.
• Experience with Trend / Honeywell software.
• Experience setting up Trend Head End, IQ Vision / Niagara platform.
• Networking experience.
• Proficiency with control panel drawing packages like EPlan P8 with Pro Panel & Process wire modules.
• PC literacy: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Project management skills, including handling financial aspects and P&L responsibilities.
• Good communication skills, team-oriented.
• Occasional on-site commissioning assistance.
• Office-based with site visits for project meetings.

Electrical knowledge/skills that are advantageous:

• Knowledge of 400V systems, 3-phase and single-phase motors, motor starting techniques (DOL, ASD, Frequency Inverter control).
• Ability to design motor control centres and control panels per IEC standards.

This role may suit a commissioning engineer looking to progress into project engineering or a junior engineer. Candidates from the process industry with PLC controls, control panel design, and network communication experience (Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU, Profibus) will also be considered.
