The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Blood Transfusion to work in a busy hospital in East Sussex. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service. This will be a temporary contract with a rate of £24.00 – £28.00 per hour.

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?

You will process Haemoglobinopathy samples on Tosoh G11, interpret and report results, assist with training and competence in Haemoglobinopathy, review relevant SOPs, and support the day-to-day running of the laboratory for Ante-Natal Screening and UKAS accreditation.

Essential Requirements:

• • HCPC registered.
  • UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratory experience.
  • Competent in using pathology computer systems.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work methodically, under pressure, and adapt to changing demands appropriately.
