We are looking for an enthusiastic, visionary Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Immunology (Band 6) to join our dynamic and thriving team of 9 BMS’s and 4 AHCS’s in our Immunology laboratory. The Immunology service is based at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and serves the Kent and Medway Pathology Network (KMPN). We are UKAS ISO 15189; 2022 accredited as are all Pathology disciplines within the organisation. Services provided include autoimmune serology, allergy, protein electrophoresis, specific protein measurement and cryoprotein investigations. The laboratory works closely with our consultant Immunologist supporting allergy and immunology clinics in addition to planning the delivery and development of laboratory services. Immunology has a strong training ethos linked to career development and progression.

To undertake scientific tasks within all appropriate sections of the department as delegated by senior staff, process laboratory samples and produce timely, accurate and relevant results and reports in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, and undertake routine analytical work involving both automated and manual techniques.
