- Saving the programme by pointing out a catastrophic clash others thought was fine
- Keeping subbies honest on cost and scope (your sixth sense for silly prices is unmatched)
- Being the project's technical adult - because someone has to be
- A seasoned TSM with real D&B battle scars
- Contract‑aware, commercially switched‑on, and allergic to BS
- They want someone long‑term, not someone counting down to their campervan tour
