Mechanical Product Design and Development
If you are looking for an interesting and varied new role where you can use your skills in design, research and development and manufacturing then this could be ideal for you.
The company design and develop a range of products mainly for the commercial transport sector and are part of an international group.
This role would suit an engineer with a good knowledge of working with metals such as steel and aluminium, ideally you will have a design or new product development background and experience working with cross functional teams as well as supporting customers with technical and new product queries.
Relevant industry sectors could include steel/metals, automotive, aerospace etc but we would be keen to speak to people from all backgrounds who could be a good fit.
This will be an interesting and varied role where you can work closely with internal design, manufacturing and project teams along with working with customers and clients.

- New product innovation and research and development
- Develop new technologies and products, reducing costs and improving product performance
- Enhancing and developing existing product lines
- Working with customers to establish requirements and provide technical support
- Developing and driving product strategy
- Research and evaluation of materials
- Develop in house testing capabilities
- Establish, optimize and lead the automation of business processes including order conversion, costings, BOMs, routings etc
- Relevant engineering or technical qualifications
- Experience of working in a technical role with knowledge of steel and aluminium materials

- Good customer and stakeholder management skills
