Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to manage the milling section for a precision components manufacturer in aerospace and more. The candidate should have experience with HYPERMILL, 3 to 5 axis programming, and a strong background in CAD/CAM. This role offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working with CAD/CAM.
• Experience in a senior or management role.
• Previously worked in an aerospace environment.

Job Overview

NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a Senior CNC Programmer to join a well establisted client. Our client specialises in the manufacturing of precision components across industries such as aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and defence. Due to substantial investment, they are looking for a programmer to take over the milling section.

Hours of Work

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm

Job Responsibilities

• Create offline programs using HYPERMILL software
• Set and prove out machines in preparation for operators to run
• Organise workflow
• Manage cycle times, BOMs and planning of the section

Experience Required

• Hypermill experience (preferred)
• 3, 4 and 5 axis programming and machining capabilities
• Previously worked in an aerospace environment (desirable)
• 3+ years working with CAD/CAM
• Experience within a senior/management role
