Lecturer in Travel and Aviation

Targeted Retention Incentive Payment

Eligible further education (FE) teachers can claim a targeted retention incentive payment for teaching specific courses. This post is in the scope for being eligible.

For the 2025 to 2026 academic year, the targeted retention incentive payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 and payment is made in one lump sum.

You must be in the first 5 years of your FE teaching career to claim. This means you must have started your first role with the responsibilities of an FE teacher at a post‑16 only education (FE) provider in England during or after the 2021 to 2022 academic year.

The purpose of the post is to teach on a variety of travel and aviation courses within the programme area and support the Curriculum and Quality Team Manager in the development of further travel and aviation courses.
