Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Driving suppliers to ensure on time material delivery for all engines.
  • Work with internal & external suppliers to drive improvements and reduction of waste.
  • Work key material visit process and effective key decisions to maintain material availability for Gate 3.
  • Key driver of quality & compliance within material function.
  • Following escalation processes to ensure that key personnel are informed of critical pacing parts on engines and following GE Management systems to gain delivery commitments and improvements.
  • Working with the team to identify critical material issues and help support with recovery plans.
  • Ensure supplier WIP remains on schedule; solve problems as necessary to ensure a successful delivery to support our customers.
  • Maintaining metrics to high standard, example Hold tickets, billing issues & QPARs

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Previous experience of Materials role.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good team player with flexible approach and effective interpersonal skills
  • A responsible/self-motivated person, willing to make decisions
  • Computer literacy skills, ideally with experience of windows based packages.
