Job description

We are working with a leading UK manufacturer seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their small, close-knit team near Leicester. This role will be the most senior maintenance position on site, giving you full ownership of the maintenance function as a lead/manager.

You will play a vital part in maximising profitability through the effective control and monitoring of the company’s maintenance functions, servicing, and repair of factory machinery, as well as ensuring projects are completed to agreed timescales.

The package details for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  • Pension: Matched 4% contribution.
  • Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown).

The Role:

  • Lead and take ownership of all maintenance activities as the most senior engineer on site.
  • Plan, control, and monitor production machinery maintenance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Formal electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3)
  • Ideally be apprentice trained
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Experience in Plc fault finding and ideally exposure to robotics technology
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, process or production environments

The Role – Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

As part of our close knit maintenance team, you will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production machinery and facility equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a technically varied role where no two days are the same.
