Job Summary

Clinical Pharmacist | Future‑Focused Community Pharmacy - Shape the Future of Pharmacy Practice.

Why This Role Is Different

Forget everything you think you know about community pharmacy. We've built something genuinely new.

325m purpose‑built premises, opened June 2023, were designed around a simple question: What if pharmacists could focus on clinical care instead of being chained to the dispensary?

Four consultation rooms. Modern automation. Experienced ACTs and technicians. A clinical pharmacist mentor who values learning.

This is where your clinical ambitions meet real‑world opportunity.

Main Duties of the Job

Clinical Leadership

  • Deliver and expand NHS and private clinical services
  • Lead specialised clinics aligned with your expertise and interests
  • Maintain clinical governance and adherence to all regulations
  • Build professional relationships with patients and healthcare professionals

Pharmacy Management

  • Ensure smooth, efficient operations and high‑quality patient service
  • Implement and oversee Standard Operating Procedures
  • Fulfil Responsible Pharmacist duties with clinical checking focus
  • Manage stock control across prescription, OTC, and retail items

Team Development

  • Organise, support, and assess staff training programmes
  • Delegate effectively to ACTs and support staff
  • Foster a learning culture within the team
  • Mentor staff in their professional growth

Business Growth

  • Drive the business forward through service innovation
  • Increase revenue through clinical service expansion
  • Identify opportunities to enhance patient care and business performance

You may be required to undertake additional duties within your capabilities to meet business needs and GPhC requirements.

What We Offer

Financial Package

  • Competitive £30 per hour base salary
  • Performance and service‑based incentives

Professional Development

  • Full sponsorship and support for Independent Prescribing qualification
  • Training in specialised clinical areas: travel health, weight management, women's health, and more
  • Opportunity to lead clinics in your area of expertise
  • Mentorship from an experienced clinical pharmacist

  • Large, comfortable dispensary with modern automation
  • Multiple PMR systems, EPOS, and contemporary pharmacy technology

Exceptional Team Support

  • High degree of responsibility and professional accountability
  • Fast learner committed to continuous improvement
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office, PMR systems, EPOS, online wholesalers, tablets
  • Passion for community pharmacy and clinical service delivery

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Wants to build and deliver NHS and private pharmacy services
  • Enjoys supporting and developing staff
  • Has clinical pharmacy experience or genuine desire to develop these skills
  • Thrives in a forward‑thinking, innovative environment
  • Sees pharmacy as it could be, not just as it is

  • Part‑time candidates considered if aligned with business needs
What This Role Really Means

Imagine starting your day reviewing your clinic schedule, not counting prescription labels. Picture having four dedicated consultation rooms where you can actually practice pharmacy. Envision a dispensary team skilled enough that you oversee processes rather than drowning in them.

This isn't "maybe someday" pharmacy. This is happening now.

We've made the investment in premises, technology, and people. Now we need a pharmacist who's ready to make the most of it whether you're an established independent prescriber or a newly qualified pharmacist hungry to develop clinical skills.

Ready to Practice Pharmacy Differently?

If you're tired of what community pharmacy has been and excited about what it could be, we want to hear from you.
