Job summary
A leading systems integrator in the North West is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee automation and controls projects. The role requires strong communication skills, a technical background in electrical engineering, and experience in managing contracts. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, monitor budgets, and lead projects from inception to completion. Competitive salary of £65‑70k with additional car allowance and bonus benefits. This position is suitable for candidates within commuting distance of Cheshire.

Responsibilities
- Deliver projects for a systems integrator within automation, electrical engineering, and controls.
- Understand, review, and communicate stakeholder requirements.
- Establish resource needs for each project stage and engage with engineering teams.

Education
Salary: £65‑70k plus £6k car allowance and bonus.
- Deliver projects for a systems integrator within automation, electrical engineering and controls.
- Work under contracts such as NEC or bespoke contracts (essential requirement).
- Understand, review and communicate stakeholder requirements.
- Establish resource needs for each project stage and engage with engineering teams to schedule and assign tasks.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Monitor and control stage payments & costs to stay within contract obligations & budget limits.
- Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals.
- Follow up the project during installation and commissioning stages.
- Spend approximately 25% of the time on customer sites.
- Proven track record of delivering automation & controls projects on the supplier side.
- Technical background within automation, electrical or controls.
- Bespoke project management qualification recognised – preferred.
