An exciting opportunity to join Sensory Support Services has become available in Norfolk.
Sensory Support is a service that supports individuals who are vision and hearing impaired across Norfolk. The service supports with assessment, equipment and rehabilitation and habilitation for people who experience vision and sight loss. Sensory Support is a countywide team so access to a vehicle will be essential.
We are looking to recruit an apprentice who will complete their Vision Rehabilitation training through an apprenticeship at Birmingham City University. Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (Adults) – FdSc.
The course will be funded through the Norfolk County Council apprenticeship scheme and you must be eligible for the course via the essential entry requirements. You will be expected to attend in person for block week teaching through the academic year. Norfolk County Council has an expenses procedure; we can provide more information if needed.
Vision Rehabilitation is a career where you are able to support those who are sight impaired to improve their lives through preventative support. Vision Rehabilitation Officers support individuals who are sight impaired to remain independent living fulfilled lives in their community and their homes.
