Job Title: Apprentice Catering Assistant - Stafford

Salary/Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour

Location: 7 Harry Kerr Drive, Stafford, England, ST16 1WT

Reporting to: Soft Services Assistant Facilities Manager

Hours/working pattern: 30 Hours Per Week

Contractual Requirements: Candidates must be aged 18+ and require a driving license

We're currently recruiting for an ambitious apprentice catering assistant to help us create exceptional food experiences for B&I on a full-time basis contracted to 30 hours per week.

As an apprentice catering assistant you will be working in a passionate and hard-working team to create an outstanding culinary experience for our customers. You do not need to have any experience to apply for this vacancy as full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship!

On completion of the Apprenticeship you will achieve the Production Chef L2 and become a qualified catering assistant.

• Preparing delicious high quality food that delights our client and customers.
• Actively supporting chefs in daily kitchen tasks including mise en place, cooking assistance, and post-service clean-up
• Supporting customer satisfaction through direct service
• Handling customer payments and processing transactions using till systems
• Daily kitchen tasks such as pot wash and cleaning.
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations

• Skilled in basic culinary knife techniques.
• Foundational understanding of catering operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Experienced in catering environments with a solid understanding of food service operations and customer care.
• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
