Job description

Headley have a new vacancy available with our engineering client based near Leeds, a manufacturer of bespoke process machinery.

The job requirement is for a Mechanical Fitter / Machine Builder.

This is a workshop based position where you'll fit assemble the industrial machinery they design and manufacture. There'll be occasion where you'll visit customer sites for installations.

Key duties
  • Working from technical drawings and BOM's to assemble high quality machines and systems
  • Thorough testing and quality checking in line with the best company and industry standards
  • Helping to develop standard procedures
  • Working with colleagues across departments including design, production and others to help devise best solutions, process improvements and efficiencies.
About you
  • Industry experience in a similar role, assembling complex industrial process / production machinery
  • Comfortable with technical information; reading, interpreting and following engineering drawings
  • Competent use of appropriate hand and power tools
  • Close attention to detail and takes pride in quality of work
  • Awareness and understanding of H&S requirements
  • Stable career history
  • Good attitude to work, committed and reliable
  • Most probably an apprentice trianed engineer
