Job Purpose

To work in collaboration and under the supervision of Early Learning and Childcare teams to provide high quality and learner centred Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2 – 5 years.

Location & Duration

Hazlehead School, Aberdeen – Apprenticeship, Part Time

Modern Apprenticeship Programme Eligibility
  • Funding available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on framework)
  • Disabled and care‑experienced applicants aged 16-29
PVG Membership Requirement
  • Roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above must meet cost of PVG membership
  • The Council will pay the initial cost (£18 for existing members, £59 for non‑members) deducted from first full month’s salary
Postholder Minimum Qualifications
  • Good written/numerical skills through Standard Grades/National 4 or 5 or relevant work experience
Demonstrated Skills
  • Effective communication – verbal, non‑verbal, written
  • Good observational and listening skills
