Ripon Farm Services is a family owned multibranch agricultural dealer covering 14 sites within Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We are responsible for the sale and aftersales support of a wide range of agricultural machinery and products, predominantly the exciting John Deere range of products. Our business culture reflects both tradition and progress, and we strive to help our customers to be more efficient and more productive in the modern farming industry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our aftersales team in our FG Adamsons Depot as a Turf Apprentice. The Turf Technician apprenticeship develops exactly the same skills as its agricultural equivalent, but with the focus more on machines used by golf courses, sports grounds, local authorities, landscapers and country estates. The apprenticeships are provided through John Deere and ProVQ.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will receive an industry recognised qualification upon completion. Our Land-Based Service Engineering Technician apprenticeship follows the level 3 Apprenticeship Standard; Land-Based Service Engineering Technician (ST0243).
The program duration is approximately 36 to 48 months and includes 24 weeks of block release training spread over 3 years conducted at a purpose-built training facility in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire. At the end of the training period, you will need to complete an EPA, which will consist of online tests, practical observations, and professional discussions using the evidence collected throughout your apprenticeship.
