Design Engineer
Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Hertfordshire is seeking a Design Engineer to create and develop innovative lighting products. You will be responsible for producing CAD models, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with standards. The ideal candidate has a degree in design or engineering and experience in the lighting industry. This role offers a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop lighting products and components from concept through to production.
- Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BoMs, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation initiatives.
