Machinist - Turning (Lathes) 📍 Location: Billingham

Pay & Contract

£15.18 per hour + shift allowance (3-shift rotation)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

Stafforce is recruiting a skilled, detail-oriented Machinist to join a production team in Billingham. This temporary-to-permanent role offers a stable, long-term opportunity with the chance to move into a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate lathe machines (turning) with precision to meet production specifications and deadlines.
  • Safely handle and transport components using overhead cranes.
  • Smooth and finish welds to ensure both structural and aesthetic quality (if required).
  • Carry out basic maintenance of machinery and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including correct use of PPE and adherence to company procedures.
