A leading home design company based in Swindon is seeking a Software Development Team Leader to guide a team of developers. The role entails overseeing the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment. Ideal candidates should have strong technical skills in VB.NET, C#, and experience in leadership. The company offers a competitive salary and various benefits including generous holiday allowance and gym membership.
At Neptune, we believe great technology starts with great people. We're looking for a Software Development Team Leader to guide and inspire a skilled team of developers, driving technical excellence and innovation across our software platforms.
You’ll lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle - from project planning through to deployment - ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and built to the highest quality standards. Working in an Agile environment, you’ll help shape the team’s technical direction and development practices while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Whether you’re an established Team Leader or a senior developer with proven leadership experience looking to take the next step, we’d love to hear from you. The role can flex to suit your background, with the balance between technical and leadership responsibilities tailored accordingly.
This role is based at our stunning offices in Swindon, Wiltshire, with home remote working part of the week. You’ll bring a willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings, weekends, or on‑call as part of a rotational schedule.
Please note that we are unable to accept speculative CV’s for this role from recruitment agencies.
Across all locations, we stay united by our company values: Do The Right Thing, Do It Together, Aim High and Keep It Real.
We’re an equal opportunities employer; our mission is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams, with all colleagues and applicants afforded the same opportunities. We encourage everyone to join us and be themselves at work, in an environment that actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion and where everyone's voices are heard.
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims‑Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for our exacting standards, design‑led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, we’re perhaps most known for kitchens – with heirloom‑worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune’s trademark "look" is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. We’re also respected for our commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, we make things we’re proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
