The Role

We are looking for an experienced robot programmer to join our growing team.

The opening is for a Lead Robotics Engineer and is a supervisory position involving the management of robot programmers on customer sites, such as Jaguar Land Rover.

The key responsibility of the role is to ensure that the on site team of robot programmers are progressing well according to the timing plan, have everything they need in order to be successful and communicating the robot programming status back to the customer during meetings. It is an onsite role and the expectation will be for the lead to be on site at all times during certain project phases. We would also be looking to offer training in the use of Process Simulate to add to your personal development and ability to greater support the robot programming team, as well as to cover the periods where there is less of an onsite demand, in such instance offline work could be done from our Kings Norton Office, Birmingham.

The role is demanding, but very rewarding and offers great growth potential for the right individual.

The initial location of the role is at JLR in Halewood, Liverpool and this is expected to be the case until 2025/26. Office working from our Birmingham office will be based on the specific project phase and business requirements.

Main responsibilities:

● People Management (On Site Robot Programmers)

●Ensuring Customer Standards are followed

●Status reporting and Tracking (Internally and Externally)

●Time Management

●Project Planning

●Liaise with Simulation team for Issue resolution

●Establish and roll out improved working practices

●Delegation to the Onsite Team

●Technical Assistance

●Support implementation of engineering updates and feedback loops

●Ultimate responsibility for the success of the project from a Robotics perspective.

Desirable experience & qualifications:

● Knowledge and Experience Programming ABB Robots

● 5+ Years on site Robot Programming Experience (Any Robot Manufacturer)

● Knowledge and Experience of the JLR Standards (Desired)

● Offline Experience in either Process Simulate, RobCad or Robot Studio (Desired)

● Strong Microsoft Office Skills, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.

● Experience Manging teams of 5+ People

● Status Tracking and Reporting

● Project Planning

Schedule:

● Monday to Friday, (Weekends based on project need)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Robotics programming: 4 years (preferred)
