Job description

Manpower is currently looking for a Yard Operative for one of our clients in Thorne!

This role will be working Monday - Friday, from 6am until finish.

Duties:

• Process vehicles through the wash programme in the correct date/priority order, and locate to the correct VPL after inspection.
• Locate vehicles to the correct VPL from all departments within the VDC.
• Pull vehicles into loads for dispatch as required.
• Ensure the correct vehicles are pulled and moved as required within the site.
• Clean vehicles to a suitable standard for inspection as required.
• Maintain a high regard for Health & Safety at all levels, using safety equipment provided for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Undertake other duties as directed, commensurate with the level of the job function.
• Carry out photography process.
• Perform battery maintenance, charging, and other vehicle maintenance activities.
• Liaise with other departments within the company to maintain a cooperative relationship across each department.
• Report any issues regarding site security to the FLM and/or Manager.
• Perform any other incidental duties required to promote a service to the customer.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality of service as described and laid down in the various working procedures is adhered to and improved upon where possible.
• Be aware of the company's responsibilities regarding Health & Safety and its ISO accreditation.
• Maintain awareness, knowledge, and training related to environmental issues within the ISO14001 standard, relevant to this job and other associated tasks.

The pay rate for this role is £12.21 per hour.
