Job description

Role:
Volunteers will support About with Friends’ members in the Work Skills team. The role is suitable for those who enjoy a more ‘hands on’ approach and who have patience and understanding in supporting members with a variety of tasks, helping to build up their skills and confidence.

The Work Skills Service offers adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to come and work in a supportive environment in one of their commercial or community services. The Service ensures members are developing practical skills whilst making a valuable contribution to the local community.

Time commitment:
A regular one day a week commitment is preferred; however, half-day opportunities can also be arranged.

About the charity:
About with Friends is an active and energetic charity based in Cromer, North Norfolk. Their main purpose is to offer children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities the chance to lead the lives they choose. Members have the opportunity to develop lasting friendships, engage in social activities, get involved in the community, have the chance to try new experiences, and learn new skills for both life and work.
