Overview

Mid Cal Labor Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller for several locations. The ideal candidate must live in the area of Templeton, San Luis Obispo, Monterey or Santa Barbara. There is NO per-diem. Resume must show at least 2 years work history experience with heavy equipment operation, particularly in drilling applications. This role involves working on construction sites, utilizing various machinery to ensure the successful completion of drilling projects. The Driller will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency while executing tasks related to horizontal drilling and pipeline installation. Full time-Temp to hire. Benefit package once hired on. Ability to commute. Ability to relocate. Pay range: $30.00 - $40.00 hourly.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy drilling equipment, including excavators, water trucks, and skid steers etc., to perform drilling tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the set up and breakdown of drilling rigs and related equipment at various job sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, including depth measurements and material usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and environmental regulations during drilling activities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operations, specifically in drilling or construction environments
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • At least 2 years of previous construction site experience
  • Must be able to drive with no physical or DMV-imposed restrictions or limitations (Valid clean driver's license)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus; experience operating tankers is advantageous
