Warehouse Operative

Location: Moira

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Department: Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Contract Type: permanent

About the Role

We\'re seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential to the smooth running of operations, ensuring bakery ingredients are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Forklift Trucks (Counterbalance/Reach) and other MHE safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders.
  • Store goods in designated locations using barcode scanners or manual records.
  • Conduct stock counts and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety standards.
  • Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and checking goods in/out.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Follow all food safety, allergen control, and hygiene procedures.

  • Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices promptly.
  • Use PPE and equipment correctly.
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety initiatives.
What We\'re Looking For

Essential:

  • Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach - RTITB or equivalent)
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
Desirable:
  • Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene
  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners
