Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative/customer service setting.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is essential.
  • Previous ward clerk experience and knowledge of the Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient clerical assistance to the Emergency Quadrant.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with patients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Acute Assessment Unit.
  • Support cover in other areas of the Emergency Quadrant.

Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient clerical assistance to the Emergency Quadrant, ensuring speedy admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy and discretion when dealing with patients, relatives and visitors at all times.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Acute Assessment Unit, handling patients, relatives and visitors with a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Support cover in other areas of the Emergency Quadrant and contribute to the smooth running of the Acute Assessment Unit.
Qualifications
  • Good standard of education and previous experience in an administrative/customer service setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently and organised within a team.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is essential.
  • Previous ward clerk experience and knowledge of the Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS) is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
