Job Title: Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHS

Department: Medical and Psychiatry

Employment Type: Zero Hours

Location: Bristol Park Clinic

Overview

Priory Bristol Park Clinic is looking to recruit a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team in a Private Practice partnership, on a sessional basis, supported by our established clinical infrastructure, national marketing reach, and steady patient referral network. This is a self-employed opportunity to begin or expand your existing Private Practice with Priory.

You'll have the freedom to focus on patient care, while we take care of the rest – from referrals and billing to rooms, regulatory cover, and administrative support. You choose your caseload, control your hours, and benefit from regular demand without the need to market yourself.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key part in recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

This post requires a strong team player who is enthusiastic about working within a multidisciplinary framework to contribute to the assessment, formulation, and management of care plans. The appointed consultant must hold and maintain registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), including inclusion on the relevant Specialist Register. Evidence of this registration must be available and presented to the Hospital Director or Group Medical Officer upon request.

For more information about the role, you can email. Apply.

What we will give you in return
  • Clinical freedom – You control your caseload, hours, and treatment plans
  • Team connection – Work independently, with full clinical governance and peer support
  • Steady patient flow – Referrals come via our national brand, GP networks, and online presence
  • Admin taken care of – We handle bookings, billing, and secretarial support
  • Established reputation – Be part of a brand trusted by patients, insurers, and clinicians for 30+ years
  • Quality facilities – Work from fully equipped, CQC-registered hospitals and outpatient clinics
  • Flexible commitment – Choose your sessions and work around your lifestyle
  • Inpatient access if needed – Direct pathways into Priory services when required

Shortlisting may begin upon receipt of applications, and the Recruiting Manager may close the vacancy early if enough suitable candidates are identified.
