Overview

At Geeka Media Group we are looking for a talented Video Editor to join our team on a temporary basis as we gear up for the busiest period of the year for our business. The successful candidate will help an established team of video editors produce technology-oriented video content for the ‘GeekaWhat’ YouTube and TikTok channels from our studio premises in Coventry (CV3).

As part of your application, you will be required to submit a showreel/portfolio of video editing work alongside your CV. You will also be required to commute daily to our video production studio in Binley, Coventry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Joining an established and experienced video editing team within Geeka Media Group Ltd.
• Creating engaging short-form and long-form video content oriented around PC hardware, consumer technology and gaming
• Editing videos from start to finish using the DaVinci Resolve software suite
• Shooting A-Roll & B-Roll clips for videos
• Integrating branded partnerships and sponsorships into video content
• Filming with up to 4 camera angles per video in our multi-cam studio
• Producing multiple videos each week to a professional standard under stringent timelines
• Shooting product stills for the geekawhat.com website
• Working within a fun, creative and fast-paced environment

Required Skills & Must Haves

• Proficiency in editing video content in DaVinci Resolve (applicants with strong Premiere Pro competency will also be considered, and may be suitable for this role)
• Experience in camera operation/videography
• Very high attention to detail
• Great time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills in order to coordinate in a timely manner with internal and external project stakeholders
• A strong portfolio which demonstrates pre-existing skills in video editing and content creation
• Office-based role 5 days per week. Due to the hands-on nature of this role, there will be limited scope for remote working

Nice to Haves

• Skills in photography, graphic design or motion graphics
• Experience in producing content for social media
• Understanding of/passionate about PC hardware (specifically PC building and computer components)
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
