Job description
Role Overview

Whitstable Medical Practice is looking for a practitioner/advanced clinician to join our Urgent Treatment Centre working 30+ hours per week. Applicants will need to have experience of urgent care, ambulatory care or same day emergency care. Applicants will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice, the community and Urgent Treatment Centre. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing clinical leadership as required.

Key Responsibilities

Provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. Work autonomously within our busy Urgent Treatment Centre. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and support delivery of policy and procedures.

Required Experience

Excellent communication skills with evidence of leadership qualities. Experience of using medical software packages. Ability to act within professional boundaries and demonstrate expert care in urgent, ambulatory, or same day emergency settings.

We have 24 equity partners caring for over 45,000 patients and pride ourselves on an innovative approach to Primary Care. We are a training practice and run various in‑house contracts including cataract surgery, ultrasound, dermatology, physical therapies, audiology, day‑surgery suite and an Urgent Treatment Centre with digital x‑ray.
