Job Advert Tutor (Standish, Wigan)

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Tutors in Standish (Wigan) to deliver Maths and English tuition across EYFS - KS4.

You will work with vulnerable pupils, including those awaiting SEN placements or in care, delivering primarily face-to-face tuition in community settings.

Area: Hindley, Wigan

Hours: 10 hours per pupil per week (flexible caseload)

Pay: GBP 30/hr

Subjects: Maths & English, KS1 - KS4

Contract: Part-time/flexible

Requirements

• SEN experience desirable

Further Information

The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.

Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.

Tuition takes place generally in school daytime hours but occasional opportunities after school 3-4pm and evening occur. Sessions can range between 1-4 hours on a daily or weekly basis.
