A regional healthcare provider in Chester is seeking a medical professional to assess new patients and plan treatments. Opportunities for training in various specialties are available, ideal for candidates with previous NHS experience. The post includes providing support to junior team members and participating in patient care across the hospital. Ideal candidates will have completed foundational training or equivalent and the role may involve on-call responsibilities in General Medicine.
Opportunities to work within a supportive environment within Geriatric Medicine and other General Internal Medicine specialties based at The Countess of Chester Hospital. Other specialties you may work within are, Respiratory Medicine, Endocrinology & Diabetes, Cardiology, Acute Medicine or General Medicine depending on service needs and preferences. The Division is committed to providing a training environment to support post holders in sitting specialty exams.
This post will provide excellent experience and training opportunities and would be ideal for doctors who have completed foundation training or equivalent and wishing to gain experience within hospital Medicine. The post-holder will be allocated a Supervising Consultant with regular meetings to discuss educational goals and achievements. You will be expected to participate in regular teaching that is available in line with your level of experience. Desirable that candidates have previous NHS experience at min of F2 level or equivalent. The successful applicants may be required to cross cover within the various medical specialties. Posts involve the participation on one of the General Medicine on call rotas.
