Transport Planner - Development Planning
Nottingham

Overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a respected multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Transport Planner with development planning experience to join their growing Nottingham team.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing transport assessments, travel plans, access strategies, and feasibility studies.
  • Carrying out junction modelling and traffic impact assessments using software such as LinSig, Junctions, TEMPro, and TRICS.
  • Leading elements of project delivery and liaising directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
  • Contributing to bids and proposals to support business growth.
About You
  • A degree in transport planning, geography, civil engineering, or similar.
  • Experience in development planning within a consultancy or local authority.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard transport planning/modelling software.
  • Strong technical report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Working towards, or already holding, professional accreditation (CIHT, TPS, ICE).
