Overview
Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and associated compressed air products at customer sites across Midlands with occasional travel to Coventry for training and parts collection.
- Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
- Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Work at customer sites throughout the Midlands with occasional travel to Coventry for training and parts collection.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
- Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar.
- Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience preferred.
- Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
- Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
- Flexibility to travel across Midlands with occasional travel to Coventry for training and parts collection.
Package & Benefits
- £26,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
